Ben grew up on a farm in Germantown, and Michelle grew up in Englewood. We have both lived in the Dayton area our entire lives, and we have many family members who reside in the Dayton vicinity as well. We started dating in September 1995, and we will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this August. We live on a 75-acre farm in Germantown. Ben owns a landscaping company and farms/raises cows. Michelle is a surgeon and works in the local hospitals.
We have been blessed with our son, Gavin, who is four years old, and we have always planned to have more children. However, we have tried unsuccessfully for the past two years to conceive another baby, so we have decided that adopting a child is the best way for us to bring a new addition to our family. Gavin would adore a baby brother or sister to love and to share his parents with, and we would feel so grateful to have the opportunity to love, nurture, and provide for another child.
We love to spend time together as a family. Going on family vacations is one of our favorite hobbies. We try to travel together as often as we can. We also enjoy being outdoors on our farm and believe that our residence is a wonderful place to raise children. We love water activities, and we have a boat that we take to a lake in Indiana during the summer. Germantown has a great school system where our children will receive a solid education. In fact, Ben’s sister is a teacher at one of the local elementary schools. Most of Ben’s family lives less than a block away, so Gavin has many cousins nearby. We have three outside dogs that love children and are very gentle. Our family and friends are supportive of our decision to adopt, and they cannot wait to meet a new addition to our family.
We have so much love to share, and we would cherish the opportunity to provide a safe, affectionate, and nurturing home for another child.
