We have been happily married for almost 13 years.  We were introduced by friends and fell in love in college 16 years ago. We are best friends and have a loving relationship. Curt is very easy to be around, caring, and fun. Laurel is friendly, kind-hearted and optimistic. We’ve been blessed with our daughter, Hope, who is 5 years old and attends kindergarten. She is gentle, loving, creative and funny. Hope is very excited to have a brother or sister join our family. Curt owns a marketing business and Laurel, formerly an information technology sales manager, enjoys the best job in the world as a stay at home mom. Laurel is a nurturing, loving and encouraging mom and Curt is an attentive, loving and patient dad.  

Parenting has been our greatest joy and we have so much love to give another child.  After experiencing infertility and a late term pregnancy loss, we felt God was leading us in a new direction and are hopeful and excited to grow our family through adoption. We have seen the blessings of adoption as several of our friends have adopted children. Our support system is very strong through family and friends. We are fortunate to have both sets of parents living close by and enjoy frequent visits, dinners, activities and holidays together. 

We believe in providing children with many different experiences and learning opportunities. We are excited to share these experiences with another child! Laurel loves going with Hope to the library, farmers’ markets, pottery painting, Zoo, Aquarium, Children’s Museum, King’s Island, play dates, cooking together, exploring, and other fun activities. Curt’s business allows him the flexibility to be a part of a lot of these daily adventures.     

Our favorite annual travel destinations are to our family condo in Florida (including Disney World and Sea World) and a beautiful lake house in Michigan. In addition, we love to travel to visit extended family in Boston and Maryland. We enjoy hiking, bike riding, exercising, swimming, rock-climbing (indoors with a harness at our gym:-)). We like to be adventurous, exploring fun places and trying new foods. We attend church weekly and are active members through serving in the nursery and taking care of the infants. We love animals, especially our dog and two cats, and volunteer for a local dog rescue organization. As parents, we are involved in the education process. Laurel volunteers on the PTO Board of Hope's elementary school. Curt is also a school volunteer.
