 Thank you for taking time to get an insight into our family. We respect your decision to look at adoption as an option for you and we are here to give you a choice. We realize and understand what you are going through is often a difficult choice. We admire the love and courage you have already shown. The reason we want to adopt is so we can have another child we can love, guide, and watch grow as he or she goes through the journey of life.
We are Georgianne and Eric. We met through a mutual friend in the summer of 2001 and married in June of 2004. We are both 33 years old. Eric graduated from Ohio State University and Georgianne from Ohio University prior to getting her masters degree from the University of Dayton. Eager to start a family, we dealt with infertility issues before realizing God’s plan for us was to adopt.
In August of 2007, our dreams came true as we were blessed with the adoption of our beautiful daughter, Ava. We continue to have an open adoption because it was in everybody’s best interest. Ava is very personable and loves being around kids and babies. There is nothing we would like more than to adopt a baby boy or girl to have in our family along with Ava.
Eric has been in the financial services business for 11 years. He is self-employed and has flexible hours. Georgianne has been a teacher for 11 years. She will take a leave of absence upon adopting another child. She has 15 weeks of vacation per year. All of our parents and siblings live locally and are supportive of adoption as well as babysitting. We are both financially stable in our careers.
Family is our top priority. We love the outdoors, traveling, playing sports and spending time with family and friends. We take a vacation to Florida every spring. We are both involved in our church and community service. We have a Golden Retriever dog named Junior who is great with babies and kids. Ava and Junior are best buddies. We turned one of the rooms in our house into a kids play area. When we are home, that is where we spend most of our time.
