Meet Greg & Jenn S.
|
About Us: We have been happily married for seven years. We met through mutual friends in college and were good friends for several months before we began to date. We have always been an active couple enjoying hiking, vacations, sporting events, attending church and spending time with family and friends. We also both enjoy reading, playing cards and board games, and exercising. Through our seven years of marriage we have learned so much about communication, team work and cooperation. We are truly best friends and can’t wait to see what God has in store for our life together. Our Family: It has always been our dream to become parents. Family has always been important to us so we were very excited to start a family. In September of 2005 our dreams of becoming parents came true. We were blessed with our son Matthew through an open adoption. He is the biggest joy in our lives and we would love for him to have a sister or brother to grow up with. Matthew is a very active three year old that loves music, spending time outside and trains. Some family traditions we enjoy are pumpkin carving, making Christmas cookies, spending Christmas Eve with Greg’s family and Thanksgiving with Jenn’s family. Everyday things we like to do together include going to the park, pool and library as well as spending time with Matthew’s grandparents. Greg’s parents live near us and we see them at least once a week. Jenn’s family lives about two hours away and we see them at least once a month. We all get together for holidays and birthdays. We feel very luck to have such strong family support in our lives. Working Life: Greg is a computer programmer who enjoys working with computers. He owns part of the company that he works for which makes for great job security and flexibility. Jenn’s favorite job is being a stay at home mom. There is nothing else she would rather do. Jenn plans to stay at home when our next child joins our family. Jenn does work three short shifts a week at her favorite clothes store at the mall. What we want you to know: We can’t pretend to know what you must be going through but we want to support you in any way we can. We feel that adoption is a life long commitment to the child as well as the birth family and we would honor that wholeheartedly. We welcome an open adoption with you if that is what you desire. We want to give your child every opportunity that is available in life and always support your child’s interests. We hope that through this letter you will see a fun loving family that would do anything for each other. We also hope you will see a family with a strong loving marriage, solid family values, financial security and a home were a child can express themselves.
