Meet Jeremy & Mindi S.
Dear Expectant Parents,
Hello! Thank you for reading about our lives and for considering us as your child’s adoptive family. We acknowledge the difficulty of your decision and respect your courage. Please know that we are praying for you. We have experience with the beautiful adoption process and feel prepared for the adventure ahead.
Jeremy and Mindi have been married for nearly 13 years and have three children. For several years we struggled with infertility. During this time as we prayed for direction, we felt confident God would provide for us and build our family in a creative way. Eventually, we were blessedly surprised by the birth of our sweet twins, Noah and Belle. Jeremy and Mindi have had a passion for adoption since our early teen years serving in orphanages abroad. Adoption was always on our hearts. After encountering roadblocks with our international program, a domestic adoption presented itself and we were blessed with our spunky little Elijah. We continue to have a delightful relationship with Eli’s birthmother and speak of our great respect for her brave love. We once again want to grow our family through adoption and eagerly await a precious child. We will honor and respect you as birthparents and welcome relationship between you and your child.
Jeremy is a pastor of a community Bible church and we live right next door. As a pastor, he has flexibility in arranging his work which allows him to be very present in the children’s lives. Jeremy enjoys sports, reading, and board games. He has a calm, fun spirit and a knack for putting people at ease. Mindi stays at home with the children and works alongside Jeremy in church activities. Some of Mindi’s favorite hobbies include cooking, reading, travel, and running. She is steady and loyal. We are both involved in volunteer positions with the youth in our community.
Our children bring us great joy! Noah and Belle are 7 years old and Elijah is approaching 2. Noah is reserved and perceptive while Belle is gregarious and helpful. Belle and Noah thrive in their role as big sister and big brother. Elijah desires time with them. He is very social, playful, and expressive.
Our home is lively and fun! There is a great deal of activity within our house and in the yard: sports, board games, gardening, music and crafts. While we each have individual interests, we spend most of our free time together both at home and during our annual vacations. The warmth in our home is evident as we are surrounded by friends and family. The five of us have daily meals together. We work and play together and enjoy time in the evenings reading and praying with the kids before bed. There are plenty of hugs and words of love. Each member feels secure and free to grow as individuals. Jeremy provides for us financially. He is very involved as he leads our family. Mindi delights in her role as a stay-at-home mother and is readily available for each member. The cornerstone of our family is Jesus Christ. This faith gives us a purpose and joy and sustains us with daily grace.
Our extended families and our church family are praying with us through this journey. They are anxious to love and teach and probably spoil a beautiful little one. We believe children ultimately belong to God and He gives us the humbling privilege to care for and love them.
Thank you for letting us share about our family! We pray God will lead you through these decisions and give you great peace.
