Meet Melissa & Billy K.
Dear Birth Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to let us introduce ourselves to you and for considering us as your child’s adoptive parents. We are so grateful to you for giving us the chance to complete our family. We can’t imagine how difficult this time has been for you, but we admire the strength you have shown in coming to this loving decision. We promise we will be with you every step of the way. We believe we were meant to build our family through adoption. We are blessed with supportive families and want to share with our child the kind of happy life, love, and opportunities that we’ve had.
We are Billy and Melissa. We enjoy music, cooking together, gardening, taking walks, and even just having a quiet night at home together.
In our first year of marriage, we built a home with our future family in mind. We wanted to live in a good school system, be close to family and have a home and a yard big enough for our growing family. We live in a quiet neighborhood in the suburbs with sidewalks, a community pool and even a fishing lake. We are close to several parks, the local zoo, an amusement park, and a water park. There are lots of things to do nearby.
About Billy. I grew up on the east side of Cincinnati, part of a very loving family. While my father has passed on, I remain close to my mother and my sisters, Lydia and Kathleen. I work for a food service supply company where I am a manager. It is a great job that’s just minutes from home. I am an avid sports fan and also enjoy listening to music, working around the house, and spending time with friends and family. I am a spontaneous free spirit who often chooses to take the scenic route home and likes to go on adventures. I’ve always dreamed of being a good father.
About Melissa. I grew up in a suburb of Cincinnati, where I attended Catholic school. In college, I earned a bachelors degree in Health Care Administration and for the past fifteen years have worked for a local health care organization. I have a very close relationship with my parents, who live right around the corner, as well as with my sister, Jen, and my brother, Scott. My large extended family gets together often for various activities from family dinners to amusement parks. Everyone is excited about another person joining in on the fun. I enjoy live music, scrapbooking, spending time with friends and family, going to the movies, traveling and relaxing at home. I always take time out of my schedule to do some volunteering for children in need. I see the value in helping others. I am very responsible, a hard worker, and I feel like I will be a great mom with all of the experience I have with my nieces and nephews.
We look forward to parenthood and all that it entails, from late night feedings and diaper changes to college graduation and beyond. We promise to provide our child with every opportunity we can possibly give them. We look forward to taking vacations with extended family, sharing holiday traditions, and creating new experiences within our family. Education is a priority that we both share and we would, in turn, stress the importance of that to our child. We are active, fun-loving people and can’t wait to share that with a child. As a family, we plan to go to the park, ride bikes, play outside, make s’mores, hike, go swimming, go to amusement parks, go fishing, have birthday parties but most of all, spend time together.
Thank you again. We can’t express the depth of our gratitude for the choice you have made. Please find peace of mind in knowing the child will be in good hands and grow up in a safe, loving family.
