Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and to consider me as you make an adoption plan for your child. When I imagined what my life would look like when I was little … I pictured myself as a mom … always! I found out at the age of 13 that I would not be able to bear children. I have known for a long time that I wanted to adopt, and I am now at the point in my life where I am ready to become a mom. I am beyond excited! I have so much love to give!
I have had a variety of experiences with children which have helped prepare me for motherhood. Working with children has always been a passion of mine! As soon as I was old enough I began babysitting. By the time I started college, I knew I wanted to spend my life working with childlren. At Ohio Dominican University, I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education along with a K-through-third grade teaching license, and then pursued a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. During college, I worked at an after-school program and was a summer camp counselor. After graduating, I taught preschool, kindergarten, and Title 1 reading. I am currently a coordinator for the Upper Arlington Schools after-school program. This job has flexible, family-friendly hours and follows the school schedule, which means my summers will be free to share with a child.
I have been blessed with a loving and supportive family. We enjoy spending time together, whether it is Sunday dinner or a summertime cookout. We also travel to Florida each year for spring break. My extended family is quite large, and I treasure my cousins. We enjoy being together over the holidays and at other family gatherings throughout the year. Everyone is excited to welcome a new family member!
In my free time I enjoy spending quiet evenings at home with a good book or movie, going to the park with my dog Cooper, or spending a sunny day at the pool with family and friends. I have a close group of girlfriends, and together we celebrate birthdays, go out to dinner, go to the movies, or just spend time with their children.
I live in Dublin, Ohio, in a quiet, family-friendly neighbor- hood. My home has a patio and plenty of green space where a child can play and grow! The Dublin School District is rated Excellent by the State. Nearby my home are a nice playground, a large recreation center, numerous stores and restaurants, a wonderful library, and large children’s hospital. The Scioto Mile is also close by, offering many fun festivals and family activities. The Ohio State University is a short drive away, and I often enjoy football and basketball games there. On Sundays, I attend St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, which has wonderful adult, children and youth programs.
If I am lucky enough to be chosen to raise your child, I will provide them a loving, safe, and happy home. I cannot wait to go the park, read books at the library, see the animals at the zoo, or spend quiet time at home. Your child will be surrounded by loving and supportive family and friends so that they may become a confident, well rounded adult.
I have so much respect for you. I know this is not an easy decision. If you choose me, please know your child will always be reminded of how much you love him/her. I choose open adoption because I know it is the right thing to do for your child. I wish you the best in this process and thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me!
With Much Respect,
