About Us: We are Paul, Lelia and Dominic, an active, fun-loving family of three who are hoping to become a family of four. We would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to our family, our home and our lives. Three years ago our dreams of becoming parents came true when we were matched with Dominic’s wonderful birth mother, Lisa. Dominic joined our family three years ago through open adoption, and it is our hearts desire to grow our family again through adoption. On February 14th of 2005 Dominic was born, and our journey to parenthood began. The experience of adoption is one of the most awesome experiences of our lives, and the moment Dominic was placed in our arms; we knew our lives would never be the same. We know first-hand the joy and the work involved in raising a child, and we can’t wait to do it all, again- even the endless nights and dirty diapers!

Together: As a family, we enjoy playing catch, baseball, soccer and watching sports. Lelia enjoys crafts, scrap booking and reading a good book while Paul loves to workout, run, work in the yard and clean. Lelia considers herself very lucky in that she does the cooking and Paul does the cleaning -- what a great partnership! Dominic enjoys many different activities, and we enjoy offering opportunities to him and watching him grow!

Our Community: We live in a wonderful community that was recently voted “The Best Town for Families” by Family Circle Magazine. Best of all, our schools are ranked number one in the state with an A+ rating. Our community recreation center has a ton of activities for children in all seasons. In the summer they have outdoor bands and picnics with all sorts of fun activities for kids. Between the pool and indoor recreation center we always have something to do, and Dominic loves getting together with all the kids here.

Our Lives Throughout the Seasons: We truly enjoy the change of seasons that Ohio has to offer, and we have traditions and activities we enjoy in each. In spring, we look forward to Spring Training and the beginning of a new baseball season with the Cleveland Indians. In summer, we enjoy t-ball, swimming lessons and spending time outdoors playing with our son. Fall is home to our favorite holiday- Halloween! We love decorating the house, dressing up; carving pumpkins and roasting pumpkin seeds ~ they are so yummy! Raking leaves and jumping into them is fun, too. Winter brings Christmas, sled riding, snow angels and snowmen. We are looking forward to this winter when we can take Dominic skiing for the first time. Winter may be cold, but we enjoy the outdoors all year round ~spring, summer, winter or fall.

Our Families: Both of us are blessed with large families that are close-knit and so supportive. Paul has eight siblings, while Lelia has six siblings. We both loved growing up with so many brothers and sisters, and we want our children to have the same experience of sibling love, support and friendship. Of course, so many siblings for us, means plenty of cousins for Dominic to play with, and since they all live so close to us we are thrilled they will grow up together. The most wonderful experience of adoption for us is how supportive our families have been throughout the entire process and knowing how much they look forward to welcoming another child into our lives!

In Closing: Adopting Dominic was truly a miracle for us and we are forever grateful to his birth mother, Lisa, for allowing us to become his parents. Today Lisa is a meaningful part of our lives, and our relationship is growing as the years go on. We look forward to talking to you about what kind of relationship you would like with us and with your child, and promise to be respectful, thoughtful and open with you in this process. It is our belief that when you come upon the right profile, then you will know in your heart that you have found the right fit for you and your baby.
