Meet Scott & Hilary B.

Hi, we are Scott, Hilary, and Renee and we would like to tell you a little about ourselves.  Scott and Hilary met about 15 years ago when we worked as lifeguards and taught swimming lessons together at the Kettering Recreation Complex. We were friends before we started dating.  We got married in March of 1995 and we have really developed a strong relationship in our 14 years of marriage. We are each other’s best friend. We share many of the same interests. We still love to swim, but probably our greatest hobby is camping. We go camping numerous times a year. We have a 34 foot Jayco camper and enjoy sharing our camping experience with our friends and family.

Our daughter, Renee, loves to camp too. She is almost 3 years old and loves being outside. She also enjoys swimming and has been in swimming lessons for a while now. She absolutely loves it and even asked Santa for goggles for Christmas this year...purple and pink ones. She also loves Soccer. She doesn’t play on a team, but loves to watch our niece and nephew play and then will play soccer with them. Her other hobbies include playing with Nanook, our dog, playing babies with her baby dolls, reading books, riding her bike, spending time with her grandparents, play princess (she loves Cinderella), and playing with her friends. Renee is very excited about the prospect of being a big sister. We have talked to her about our plans to bring another child into our lives. She understands (as well as a two and half year old can) that Mommy won’t be carrying a baby in her tummy, just as I didn’t carry her in my tummy.
When we married, we never dreamed the road to parenthood would be so long. Our struggle with infertility was hard for us, but we have endured through the difficult times and believe we are stronger for it. We felt so blessed when Renee entered our lives in April of 2006. We are happy to have her as part of our family and thank God everyday that she is in our lives.

Our goal in raising our child(ren) is to provide a supportive environment so they can develop as happy, caring, adventurous, creative, and capable people. We want our family relationships to be loving, respectful, and fun. Parenting for us has been a time of incredible joy and are hoping to expand our family.

We want you to know how much we respect the strength and courage you are showing by considering adoption, for we feel adoption is an act of love for both the birth and adoptive parents. We recognize that you are making what may be the most difficult and most important decision of your life, and we wish you all the best in your decision making process and hope for the best outcome for you and your child. Hopefully if you find the right family, your decision will be easier. And if we are that family, we look forward to learning more about you.
