Meet Amanda & Danny Y.

Adoptive family

Dear Birthparent,

We would like you to know how forever grateful we are to you for taking the time to get to know us and even consider us as becoming a part of your story. It has been the desire of our hearts to expand our family and share the never-ending love we have with a child. We know that God has truly called us to adopt, and we are beyond excited to become parents. If given the privilege, we will provide your child with a loving, stable home where they can grow into the best version of themselves.

About Amanda I grew up in a small town in northern Ohio where my younger brother and I were raised by loving and supportive parents. I attended a private Christian school and after graduating, earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Clearwater Christian College. I always believed I would become a lawyer, but God had other plans for me. I have always felt a strong passion for working with children and was able to turn that passion into a daily reality by becoming a teacher. I find great joy in my job and value the relationships I have with my students. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading, cleaning, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. I am a very loving person and cannot wait to become a mother!

Loving family for your child
Christmas is a very special holiday for us.

About Danny I was born and raised in a little town with my two older sisters and loving parents. After high school, I attended a tech school for auto body and then worked at a body shop for nine years. I still enjoy working on cars. Shortly after Amanda and I married, I started working for Norfolk Southern as a conductor taking trains to many locations throughout Ohio and the surrounding states. I am thankful to have a job that I enjoy and one that provides a good life for us and our future family. When I am not working, I prefer spending time with Amanda, traveling, hunting, fishing, going out to eat, watching movies, or spending time with my friends and family.

Our Story (From Amanda’s Perspective) Danny and I initially met when Danny came to the credit union where I worked. I was instantly attracted to Danny — and his orange truck. Apparently, I had caught his eye too because when our paths crossed again, Danny asked for my number. We started dating and about a year later we married, on February 1, 2014.

I can honestly say I am married to my best friend. We are totally different as individuals, but we are an amazing couple! The things we enjoy most are visiting new places, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, using our season passes at Cedar Point, going to concerts, and spending time with the people we love.

Scout is our miniature schnauzer. We think of him as our “four-legged baby.”

Home and Family In 2015, we purchased our first home, and we couldn’t be happier! It’s surrounded by a wildlife preserve, and we love sitting on the front porch enjoying the beauty. Our large front and back yards will be perfect for playful adventures with our child. We are thankful to have a large and supportive family with whom we are very close. Most of our immediate family lives nearby, and we cherish spending time with them. We are also active in our church and have a strong support system there. Our parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, church family, and friends are all excited about the adoption, and cannot wait to meet our new addition.

With Love,
Amanda and Danny
