Meet Cassie and Caleb Z.

Adoptive family

Dear Birthparents,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. It is an honor to introduce ourselves to you and to be considered for the opportunity to raise your child. We can only imagine the difficult and selfless decision you are making. We promise to dedicate our lives to being the best parents we can be to any child placed in our home.

We are Cassie and Caleb. We have been married for almost five years. We met while we were at Miami University. We both joined the same college ministry as freshmen where our friendship thrived, and we married in 2014. We moved from the small college town of Oxford, Ohio to Columbus so Caleb could begin law school, and Cassie began working at Ohio State.

About Cassie. I was born in South Korea and was adopted at 4 months old into the family of two very loving parents in the Columbus suburb of Dublin, Ohio. I’m very close with my older brother who is also adopted. Adoption has been part of me and my family from infancy and has really made me appreciate the gift of life and how adoption can grow a family.

After graduating from Miami University in 2014 with a degree in Family Studies, I started working full-time at The Ohio State University. While working, I also earned a master’s degree in Social Work from Ohio State. I am currently the Admissions Manager for the College of Social Work. It’s an amazing family-first environment that will allow me to continue working while using day-care, but also spend lots of time with our child throughout the week. In my spare time, I like to hang out with friends, watch Ohio State sports, and spend time outdoors. At home, I like to cuddle-up on the couch with a good book, movie, or our rescued 13-year-old terrier mix, Zeke.

Visiting Columbus with Zeke

About Caleb. I grew up in the small town of West Liberty, Ohio about an hour northwest of Columbus. I have one younger brother and a very loving mother and father. I received my bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Miami University in 2014 and my law degree from The Ohio State University in 2017. I am currently an attorney in Columbus.

My hobbies include watching Ohio State sports and Cincinnati Reds baseball, listening to music, and reading. While I really enjoy living in Columbus, I also appreciate going back to my hometown and spending time at our family farm.

Ready to adopt

Our Life. We live in Dublin, Ohio where we moved into our first house in 2018. The city of Dublin has so much to offer including excellent schools, community parks, the Columbus Zoo, and a water park. We are also not far from the rest of Columbus including COSI (a great museum for kids) and other kid-friendly attractions. We are members of a church in Hilliard which emphasizes God’s love and encourages serving the surrounding community. It has an extensive children’s ministry and student ministry where we both volunteer on a weekly basis.

Again, our deepest thanks for taking the time to read about our family. We would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have. Adoption has touched our lives through Cassie’s own adoption journey, and we are filled with joy to be able to give a child what she has been given. As you make your decision, we want you to know that we are a compassionate and caring couple who want to be the best parents we can be to your child.

With Love,
Cassie and Caleb Z.
