Meet Chris & Ashley M.

Dear Birthparents,

A message from us: We want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Becoming parents is something we’ve longed for. We believe that open adoption provides the best possible atmosphere for all involved.

We are both caring, thoughtful, and fun-loving individuals. We love traveling to watch Blue Jackets games, experiencing different amusement parks, and exploring new family vacation destinations! We love relaxing evenings at home in our comfy clothes. A typical evening for us consists of making dinner together, watching movies, and playing with our three dogs who love going on adventures and walks.

After years of infertility struggles, we knew the decision to adopt was right. With both of our mothers being adopted, we see how much joy adoption has brought our family. Ashley’s sister got pregnant at 14 and it was a rewarding journey being able to walk alongside her. Although Ashley’s sister may no longer be with us, we still feel her presence through her son, our six-year-old nephew. Chris works with cancer patients at Ohio State. His job has the flexibility of working from home nine months a year and also has evenings and weekends off. A benefit that comes with working for The Ohio State University is that our children will receive half off college tuition. Ashley works at a salon two minutes from our house.

She has worked there for eleven years and many of her clients treat her like family. She has the flexibility of working part-time and having evenings and weekends off. We have a large support system of family and friends who are eager to watch us become parents. Our nieces and nephews love spending time with us and express their excitement for a baby cousin.

Dream for the future: We imagine our future as parents filled with laughter, joy, and endless adventures. We want our child to feel unconditional love. We will encourage their individuality and we vow to provide a safe and supportive environment. We will stress the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and we will prioritize nutrition. As parents, we aim to be both teachers and learners and embrace the unknown with open hearts. We are ready to embark on this incredible journey of love, growth, and shared experiences.

We are grateful for courageous people like you who help our dream of beginning a family come true. We have been making preparations for this day and hope you have peacefulness and assurance as you make this decision. Thank you again for giving thought to us as possible parents for your child.

Our Family At a Glance

We live in the Pickerington, Ohio, area.
We’ve been married since May 2019.
We work at Ohio State and as a Cosmetologist.
Our hobbies include amusement parks, traveling, taking our dogs on walks, and hanging out with family and friends.
