Meet Matt & Amber L.
Dear Birthparents,
We are Matt and Amber, and we are so excited and honored our paths have crossed. We appreciate, more than words can say, your selfless act. We hope to support you throughout this process with love and encouragement.
As a family of three we eagerly await our next child. Our daughter Rylee came to us through adoption and we are thankful every day for the joy she brings us. We cannot imagine our family without her, and know we will feel the same about her new sibling.
We met through a dating website five years ago. With Amber in Cleveland and Matt in Pittsburgh, the distance led to many long phone calls that gave us time to really get to know each other and become best friends. Friendship is the foundation for our marriage.
We quickly discovered we enjoyed many of the same things: spending time with family and friends, traveling, taking walks in the local parks, and attending plays, concerts, and sporting events. We also share similar values. Our faith and relationship with Christ is at the center of our lives, followed closely by our relationships with our families and friends.
Our daughter Rylee came to us through adoption and we are thankful every day for the joy she brings us.
About Amber, by Matt. Amber grew up in the Cleveland area, one of five children. She is so lovable, kind, selfless and fun that most who meet her fall in love. I fell the hardest – for those reasons and for her core values of JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself).
At age 11, Amber was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome, which meant she would be unable to have children biologically. Her faith and maturity prompted a heart for adoption that would continue to grow through the years.
She has been an event planner for a local hospital for the past several years. She has also given her time and heart to youth groups at our church. Amber earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy which she has used to counsel teens. Her love of children made mothering Rylee natural for her. I love to watch the fun they have together reading a book, tickling each other, or playing peek-a-boo. My favorite has to be their cuddle time in the mornings where you can clearly see the love that Rylee and Amber have for each other. Amber’s capacity for love is huge and will continue with our second child.
About Matt, by Amber. When first I met Matt I was immediately drawn to his sweet smile. He is loving, caring, thoughtful, loyal, and hardworking.
He grew up in the Pittsburgh area with his parents, an older sister, and a younger brother. His parents worked hard to provide for the family, which taught Matt the value of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He was the first in his family to graduate from college.
Matt is always making me smile and laugh. He helps others feel at ease and brings joy to those around him. He constantly looks for ways to serve and encourage others. Getting to see Matt become a father has been the greatest blessing. He is a true partner in parenting Rylee and they adore each other.

We are blessed with many loving and encouraging people in our lives: great parents who gave us a strong foundation to build our lives on and a community of supportive friends who are standing by to help us as we become parents.

We live in the Cleveland, Ohio area. We’ve been married since September 2017. We work as an event planner and digital marketer. Our hobbies include spending time with family and friends, traveling, and waterfall hikes. We believe that adoption is an amazing way to grow a family and that God has a purpose and plan for each child.
