Meet Michael & Allie W.
Dear Expectant Family,
Thank you so much for taking this time to learn about us. Adoption has been on our hearts — and has been a very real part of our family — for a long time. Michael was adopted as an infant, and we adopted our first child, Charlie, in 2023. He is the joy of our lives. We know firsthand that family is built on more than DNA. We also know that your decision is a difficult one, and it is our greatest hope that you feel supported and loved no matter where you are in your journey.
A Little About Us
We have been together for nine years, and married for six. Our son Charlie joined our family through adoption in 2023. We like to refer to him as our little miracle, because that is exactly what he is — an answered prayer. Our lives have drastically changed since bringing Charlie home, but in the best possible way. We love walks around our neighborhood and time with family and friends, among many other things, and Charlie especially likes playing airplane with daddy. Our home is filled with laughter and baby squeals, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We love bath time, eating together, listening to music, dancing in the kitchen, and reading.
About Allie I am a very happy-go-lucky person who tries not to take life too seriously. I appreciate the life I’ve been given. My days are never dull and always full of joy. I can truthfully say that I love being a mom — it is unquestionably my true calling. Choosing to work part-time to spend more time with my son is the best decision I’ve made. I feel great compassion for the elderly, and currently, I work with Alzheimer’s patients. The only thing that can outshine the love of my patients is the happiness I’ve found in motherhood.
Charlie’s arrival changed our lives forever, in the best way possible.
About Michael I consider myself loyal, kind, and outgoing. I enjoy all kinds of fun, from adventures in the outdoors to game nights with friends. Currently, I work as a Contract Specialist for the government. For me, nothing surpasses time spent with Charlie. He is the highlight of my day. Hobbies and achievements aside, fatherhood has been life-changing for me, teaching me the values of patience, selflessness, and forgiveness. Among all the roles I’ve had, “dad” is by far my favorite.
A Home Full of Love
Our three-bedroom home is in a culturally diverse and family-friendly neighborhood conveniently located near restaurants, shopping centers, a top-rated school district, and all of our family and friends. We have a large fenced-in yard for children to safely run and play. Our neighborhood offers a community pool, a playground, and various walking trails that our dog, Ellie, loves. Allie can hardly wait to enroll Charlie in Mommy and Me classes, library story time readings, and swimming lessons. We are incredibly grateful to have found the perfect home so close to the ones we love most.
Adoption Day. We want our children to understand how they came to be adopted and where they come from.

Our Family At a Glance
We live in a great home in the Centerville, Ohio, area. We’ve been married since 2017. Allie works in healthcare, and Michael works in contracting. Our hobbies include, but are not limited to: hiking, traveling, boating, and playing board games. We believe that maintaining a relationship with you and having an open adoption plan is very important.
