Meet Travis & Allison K.

Adoptive family.

Dear Birthparents,

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us. We are already impressed with your courage and strength as you face this difficult decision. Our names are Travis and Allison and we would be honored to walk with you through the adoption process.

We’ve been talking about adoption for many years and we feel called to finally start pursuing it. We are committed to being loving parents and to providing the best possible life for our children. We hope that life will include lots of friends, family, snuggles with our cat, and of course, love and laughter.

Pre-approved family.

About Us
Travis grew up in Huber Heights. His parents worked hard to provide for him and his brother. Travis has always been naturally athletic and enjoys playing sports of all kinds. He looks forward to sharing this love of playing and watching sports with future children. He graduated from Wayne High School and attended the University of Dayton for Accounting and Finance. He graduated from UD in 2010 with an MBA and has worked for a small accounting firm ever since.

Allison grew up in West Carrollton and Germantown. She has two sisters and a brother. Her mother stayed at home while they were young children, and Allison really wants to be able to provide the same experience for her children. She grew up Catholic and is committed to raising future children in the church as well. She graduated from Valley View High School and attended the University of Dayton for Spanish and English. She graduated from UD in 2009, and got her Master’s of Library and Information Science from Kent State University in 2012. She has been a children’s librarian since 2013.

Travis and Allison met playing ultimate Frisbee at UD. We dated through the end of college and Travis’s fifth year while Allison worked in Columbus. Allison moved back to Dayton to live with Travis in 2010, and we got a cat together later that year. We were married in April of 2013 and bought our first house in October of 2013.

Our home is located in a quiet neighbor- hood just north of Dayton. It is a charming and cozy 3 bedroom house and we bought it knowing that we wanted to raise children here. We have a spacious yard that we know will be great for lots of outdoor play with kids, as well as two parks within a mile and a half – perfect for a long Saturday walk! There is a farmer’s market located at a neighborhood church, and we love to walk up there and shop for fresh local veggies, eggs, and butter.

ready to be parents

Travis and Allison are very active. We enjoy working in the yard, playing sports, and socializing with family and friends. We like to have fun and we try to keep a sense of humor, even in difficult situations. We have six nephews and love spending time with them. The child we adopt will have a large and loving support system from day one. We both grew up with siblings and know how lucky we are. We are hopeful that our family will eventually include several children so that they will have a similarly wonderful childhood.

We have always felt that adoption was the right choice for us. However, Travis is a cancer survivor and as a result of his past treatments, we are not able to get pregnant. We feel that this reality has just reinforced what we felt was the best path for us all along. We look forward to cultivating a loving and open relationship with you, the birthparents, to create a loving network for the child.

Again, we thank you so much for considering us as parents. We would be honored and blessed to shower this child with love.

Love,
Travis and Allison K.
